Faraday Cup

The Water Cooled Faraday Cup with actuator is designed for the
measurement of a beam intensity up to 3 kW Ion Beam.

The water cooled copper made body includes a molybdenum cone for a high melting point and a low sputtering effect. Before entering the molybdenum cone, the beam is going  through a grounded disk and a biased disk. The Biased disk (power supply not included) as well as a permanent magnet are for the secondary electron suppression. The linear motion is sealed using a large stainless steel high vacuum bellow. Only metal gaskets on CF 100 flanges are used for an optimum vacuum. The speed of the actuator is adjustable via two screws on the cylinder.
